24 years on God's Green Earth. That's a long time.

Today, I've survived on this earth for 24 years. That's an incredible feat because they are some crazy stuff out there that can take you out. Clean living and being a god-fearing person keeps me standing upright.  Now for today's festivities, basically nothing actually. Just dinner with moms and work. That's about the same. Same as last year. No crazy night induced with liquor and one night stands. Just hanging out with my lady and my family. Since I don't have a lady, I will just chilling with my people. Birthdays were always good when I was  young. Having your friends and classmates sing "Happy Birthday", eat cake, play games and open presents was always a happy memory. Now birthdays in my adulthood are a stark contrast from my younger days. My friends are far and in-between and the party games are non-existent. I think it is more my choice why I don't do much. When you have little friends, you don't want to go all out. You just want to enjoy your day in somewhat relative peace. To me, it's just another day. Just like any other. This isn't the happy and cheerful birthday blog post. This is just how I feel every year on this day. Maybe one day, I'll write about how great my birthday was but for now, i'm just grateful to be alive, healthy, and in possession of (and the ability to pay it off) a Nintendo Wii. Those are pretty good reasons. Anyway, I have to get ready for the rest of the day. If it's good, I let you know. If not, well you ready wouldn't want to know anyway. Peace out for now.
